Society goes by way of the Family. So says John Paul II in his Letter to Families
Gives a whole new meaning to "the hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world." Laundry, Prayer, Conversation - the profound and the mundane, all wrapped up in the task of parenting.
To be Catholic parents begins with the openess to life....ultimately forming, not only a child, but an adult who understand their own capacity for self-sacrifice. To be Catholic parents means to embrace a sacramental life which will prepare you for death, while simultaneously preparing your child for life.
To be Catholic parents means to constantly strive to answer the call to put your perceived needs aside in order answer God's Will, the needs of your children, and the desires of your spouse ... and through them to have your true need answered completely.
Thanks be to God for such a wondrous calling as that of a Catholic parent!
